Ooty is well connected with Bangalore through roadways and there are regular bus services from Bangalore, which ranges from ordinary to non-A/C and A/C Volvo buses, which costs anywhere between Rs 300 to Rs 750. Travelling from Ooty to Bangalore is easy as both are well-connected by road, air and rail. There are no direct flights connecting the places. But flights are available from Coimbatore, the airport nearest to Ooty. From there, flights are available to travel up to Bangalore. There are no direct trains connecting Ooty with Bangalore. Mettupalayam is the closest train station and one can reach there in a taxi or by the famous Nilgiri Mountain Rail (popularly called toy train).

Travelling from Ooty to Bangalore is also possible by means of taxis. This mode of transport is best suited when one is travelling with infants and elders. Though convenient, the taxis may cost to the upwards of Rs 7,200 for a round trip. This mode of travel from Ooty to Bangalore is ideal while travelling with elders and kids.
