PFT: Jets want Holmes to restructure deal

Divisional Playoffs - Houston Texans v New England PatriotsGetty Images

When I first heard about Peter King?s report that the Patriots had signed quarterback Tom Brady to a three-year, $27 million extension, I assumed the deal was worth $27 million per year.

It?s not.? For committing to the Patriots in the 2015, 2016, and 2017 seasons, Brady gets a total of $27 million.

It appears, as explained last night, to be nothing more than an effort to reduce Brady?s cap number in 2013 and 2014, the final two years of his existing deal.? It?s hard to spread money over the years of a contract if the contract covers only two more seasons.? Come 2015, the likely reality is that a new deal will be done ? after the appearance that Brady has taken less is used to squeeze other players into doing the same thing, which the Pats did masterfully last decade.

Still, teams and agents are looking at the numbers and wonder what else could be going on.? Whispers of a side deals already have begun in league circles, even though there is (and likely will be) no proof of a wink-nod arrangement that will see Brady get compensated in other ways.

Sides deals aren?t unprecedented in pro football.? The Broncos lost a second-round pick, a third-round pick, and paid a $950,000 for violations relating to $29 million in deferred payments to John Elway and Terrell Davis during the team?s Super Bowl window of the late 1990s.? Again, there is (and likely will be) no proof of a side deal in this case.

Now that more and more teams are pressed against the salary cap and trying to finagle spending space, suspicions of side arrangements and briefcases full of cash will return to the NFL ? even if no team is ever caught or is ever guilty.

In Brady?s case, the facts as presently known raise natural red flags.? At a time when the high-water mater for quarterbacks is $20 million, the notion that Brady would commit to playing for less than half that average over a three-year window starting three seasons from now makes no sense.

At a minimum, agent Don Yee has provided his competitors with more than enough ammunition for the inherently cutthroat game of chasing new clients.? At a maximum, teams and agents will probe for something/anything to explain why Tom Brady was willing to sign a contract that pays him so much less than he?ll be worth starting two years from now.

Maybe, in the end, the explanation is that, given his wife?s obscene earnings, he?s willing to take a lot less money in order to help that Pats stack the deck for another Super Bowl run or two.

Q&A: Former Ipswich player Brotherton named as new Tigers football head coach

Wherever Greg Brotherton goes in the football world, he seems to strike the right mix for a Super Bowl championship.

In 1991, while playing as a senior for Jack Welch, he helped the Tigers win a championship as a player. Since then, he has also been on two coaching staffs that won Super Bowls, first at Georgetown in 2000 and then in Ipswich in 2006.

He was the Defensive Coordinator for Ipswich?s Super Bowl champions in 2006, and the last five years, he has been Defensive Coordinator for Lynn English. As of Feb. 15, he is the head coach of Ipswich High football.

It has truly been a football life for Brotherton, a police officer for the City of Lynn. From Ipswich High, he played at Bridgton Academy, Springfield College and Framingham State College. He also played for the Haverhill Highlanders in the semipro New England Football League, where he was a two-time all-star and a team co-captain.

?

What is it like to be taking this job with so many big names having held it in the past?

They?re tough acts to follow. Elliott Roundy, Jack Welch, and [predecessor] Ted Flaherty had success when he first came on. I can only do what I know how to do. I feel very proud that I?m back in the program. I grew up in the program.?

?

What are some of your memories from your last Ipswich coaching stint?

In 2006, we had a very talented team, with Alex McCarthy, Ryan Gagnon, Steve Phaneuf and Chris Tolios who is on my staff. We didn?t have to do much, they were just outstanding athletes. That season was a lot of fun. They ran the ball hard and played tough defense.

?

What have your first days on the job been like?

I was named coach on Friday, and since then it?s been school vacation. I?ll get into the school next week and start meeting with some kids. I?ve got to put a staff together, which I want to do this week. There?s a Boosters meeting the first weekend in March. There?s still a lot of work, even though we just got started and the season doesn?t start until September.

?

What are your thoughts in terms of putting together a staff?

I?m going to talk with everyone who?s on the staff now. I don?t know what their plans are on the current staff. I can?t comment on what we?ll do about a staff, but I will talk about everyone who?s been there.

?

Have you talked with Ted Flaherty, in terms of getting what you need for the transition?

I?ve worked with Ted before, so I?m very familiar with how he operated. I?ve already watched a ton of film from the last couple of years. I?m trying to evaluate what we can do. It looks like we have some decent athletes. I want to develop an offensive and defensive line. We have some graduations on that side.?

?

What are your philosophies behind running a football team?

There are three things I consider that make a football program successful. The first is I want all the kids to make sure they graduate; No. 2 is I want them to be good citizens and good sons to their parents; and No. 3 is I want to compete for a championship every year.

The biggest thing I want these kids to get out of this is to develop a strong work ethic. That?s the biggest thing I learned playing for Jack Welch from 1988-91.

?

What will be your first order of business on the field late next summer?

From watching film, and just in general, the things I?ll concentrate on are fundamentals and techniques. I think the teams that are very good at that will be successful. It doesn?t matter what you run on offense and defense. If your kids tackle well, hustle and focus on fundamentals and technique, they?ll be successful. Every new coach will take it back to the beginning to make sure those fundamentals and techniques are being taught properly.

?

What are your thoughts on the history of Ipswich football?

There is a long tradition of success. I can?t compare myself to Elliott and Jack, absolutely not. Jack and Steve Hopping were like father figures to me growing up. If I can get the kids to learn a few lessons I learned from them, I?d be thrilled.

Right now, though, I just want to beat North Reading in Game 1. I?ve got to go one game at a time. If you get presumptuous, you don?t prepare for what?s directly in front of you, and I just want to be ready to beat North Reading in Game 1.

?

Can you tell us a little bit about your life outside of football?

I live in Lynn, where I am a police officer. My wife, Taryn (McInnis) Brotherton is a police officer in Ipswich and teaches the D.A.R.E. program. We have an 8-month old son, Reid.

Funeral for Pistorius' girlfriend to be held Tuesday

JOHANNESBURG (AP) ? The family of Reeva Steenkamp said Sunday her body was back in her hometown of Port Elizabeth after the model and reality TV contestant was shot dead inside the house of Oscar Pistorius. A private funeral will be held on Tuesday.

Adam Steenkamp, the brother of Pistorius' late girlfriend, told The Associated Press "Reeva is back home."

The family said that Steenkamp, who was shot multiple times and killed at the double-amputee Olympic athlete's home early Thursday, will be cremated in a ceremony closed to the public and the media in the city on South Africa's southern coast.

Pistorius was charged with her murder and is expected to make a second court appearance ? also on Tuesday ? for the start of his bail hearing. He remains in custody in a police station in Pretoria ahead of that hearing.

The 29-year-old Steenkamp was seen laughing and smiling on South African television Saturday night after national broadcaster SABC chose to air the first episode of a reality TV show in which she was featured. Her family said it did not oppose the program being aired because Steenkamp wanted people to see it and a short tribute to her was shown before the episode.

A fellow contestant on the "Tropika Island of Treasure 5" show told AP Television News that Steenkamp "was always making sure everyone was OK."

"Fun, crazy, loving, beautiful, gorgeous. She really was an angel and I still haven't come to terms with what happened," Katleho Molai said of Steenkamp. "I haven't really eaten, I'm struggling to sleep. So it's been really hard to come to terms with what's happened to her."

France blames Spanghero bosses as UK probes horsemeat warning

PARIS/LONDON (Reuters) - France said on Sunday managers at French firm Spanghero were responsible for passing off horsemeat as beef, while Britain said it would investigate claims that warnings about horsemeat entering the food chain were raised in 2011 but ignored.

Revelations that some beef dishes actually contained horsemeat has caused a scandal across Europe, leading to products being removed from sale and police investigations.

It has also cast a spotlight on food labeling and the complex supply chain across the EU trading bloc, damaging Europeans' confidence in the food on their plate and putting pressure on governments to explain lapses in quality control.

An investigation into activities at meat-processing firm Spanghero has revealed "serious, specific and coherent" reasons to suspect it knowingly defrauded customers and consumers by selling them horsemeat labeled as beef, the government said.

However, the firm's 330 workers were not to blame and would meet with Agriculture Minister Stephane Le Foll on Monday to determine how they would be paid until the plant, whose sanitary license has been revoked temporarily, could reopen.

"The government distinguishes responsibility for what appears to be the actions of Spanghero's leaders from the work of its employees," ministers for agriculture and consumer affairs said in a joint statement.

The scandal, affecting a growing number of European countries and retailers, began in Ireland when its food safety authority discovered horsemeat in frozen beef burgers.

Investigations to determine how horsemeat ended up in ready meals sold across Europe homed in on Spanghero, but further probes are under way targeting a meat trader in the Netherlands and other firms in the supply chain.

HORSEMEAT ISSUE RAISED IN 2011?

Britain's Sunday Times newspaper reported serious concerns had first been aired about horsemeat with British food chiefs 18 months ago but nothing had been done.

John Young, a former manager with Britain's Food Standards Agency (FSA), said he helped draft a letter to the government in April 2011 on behalf of Britain's biggest horsemeat exporter, highlighting failures in the system to stop horses treated with the drug phenylbutazone from entering the human food chain.

"I discussed this with the chief executive of the Food Standards Agency this morning and she is going to go back through the records and see exactly what was said at the time," Britain's Environment Secretary Owen Paterson told Sky News.

Phenylbutazone, commonly known as bute, is an anti-inflammatory painkiller for sporting horses but banned for animals intended for eventual human consumption as it is potentially harmful in large concentrations.

The FSA said last week six horses slaughtered in Britain had tested positive for bute and might have entered the human food chain.

Irish authorities first discovered horsemeat in beef burgers made by firms in Ireland and Britain on January 15. However, the scandal widened two weeks ago when tests on beef lasagne made by the British unit of frozen foods group Findus showed the product contained up to 100 percent horsemeat.

Europol are now coordinating criminal investigations across Europe, and in Britain three premises have been probed, two closed down and number of arrests made, Paterson said.

Spanghero had its license revoked for the duration of the probe after French officials said it must have known it was buying horsemeat, which is cheaper and carries a different customs code when delivered in frozen blocks.

The firm's president Barthelemy Aguerre struck back at accusations on Friday, saying the government had been too quick to point the finger.

But radio France Info reported that investigators had seized nearly 1,500 pages of invoices at Spanghero's factory in southwestern France that showed the customs code "0205" for horse whereas the codes for beef are "0202" and "0201".

The radio cited unnamed investigators as saying Spanghero must have been aware of the difference between the codes, which are easily verifiable on a European Commission web site.

The UK's Paterson called for stricter food testing across Europe, and Austria's agriculture minister, Nikolaus Berlakovich, called for European "food passports" that would let consumers see the origins of ingredients in processed foods.

Megachurches Unite with Broadway and NFL Against Common Threat

Google and other tech firms are going head to head with churches over the use of wireless microphones?but churches have some unlikely partners on their side: Broadway producers and the National Football League.

According to the Wall Street Journal, congregations at some of the nation's largest megachurches could be forced to endure "scratchy audio" if the Federal Communications Commission redistributes the airwaves used by wireless microphones. As it turns out, pastors' mics "aren't using just any old airwaves, but part of the spectrum best suited for carrying large amounts of data."

This spectrum is a hot commodity for tech companies such as Google that want to improve data coverage. But microphone makers argue that regulating that space will undermine "staples of American culture," including Broadway shows and the NFL (which uses wireless mics for its referees).

CT previously reported when the FCC mandated that churches must stop using wireless mics operating on the 700 MHz band. CT also has reported on the "war against indecency" on the airwaves, and on Howard Stern's accidental appearances on Christian radio frequencies.

Pistorius lived out dream by running at Olympics

LONDON (AP) ? The figure of Oscar Pistorius racing around the Olympic track with his carbon-fiber blades whipping through the air was one of the enduring images of the London Games.

That was only six months ago, when the double-amputee from South Africa emerged as an example of what a person can achieve in the face of adversity.

He didn't win a medal, but the "Blade Runner" reveled in in his Olympic moment and was cheered throughout the world for his achievement. On Tuesday, still basking in the glow, Pistorius tweeted a photo from London of himself with eventual 400-meter gold medalist Kirani James, who asked for Pistorius' bib as a souvenir after running in the same semifinal heat.

"Still on(e) of my fondest memories of the Olympics.. Kirani and I exchanging (numbers)," wrote Pistorius, who was eliminated in that semifinal race.

Two days after that tweet, Pistorius was charged with the murder of his girlfriend after model Reeva Steenkamp was shot inside his home in South Africa.

The images from last August and Thursday could hardly be more contrasting ? a sporting hero at the peak of career and a criminal suspect hiding in his hooded sweatshirt ? leaving the world to wonder how Pistorius' life could have come to this.

Pistorius was born without fibula bones due to a congenital defect, and had his legs amputated at 11 months. But his condition never stopped him from playing sports with prosthetics, and he took to rugby in high school. It was after injuring his knee on the pitch that he first took to the track. And very quickly he became one of the best.

The carbon-fiber blades that he uses to run led to years of controversy. By the time he had already won a gold medal at the 2004 Paralympics, Pistorius was banned from competing against able-bodied peers because many argued that his blades gave him an unfair advantage.

In 2008, however, the Court of Arbitration for Sport cleared him to compete against the fastest in the world.

It was the Olympics that he wanted, but he failed to run the qualifying time for the 2008 Beijing Games. Instead, he won the 100, 200 and 400 at the Paralympics in China as he was quickly becoming a star around the world.

In his life off the track, Pistorius called himself a "speed freak." He told The Associated Press on several occasions about his love of riding powerful motorcycles, but gave up that hobby in 2009 after he injured his head in a boat accident.

"There was a lot of refocus after that. I had this motorboat accident and I was in hospital for two weeks and spent the next four weeks at home," Pistorius told the AP. "I just realized that I need to make some changes and some of them need to be with my lifestyle. I was messing around a lot with motorbikes and just playing around and taking unnecessary risks."

He has also boasted to the AP about having cage fighters as friends, and was open about his ownership of guns. He tweeted a photo of himself at a shooting range in November 2011, bragging about his score.

"Had a 96% headshot over 300m from 50shots! Bam!" he tweeted.

Two years after his boating accident, Pistorius finally got to compete on the big stage, running on South Africa's 4x400 relay team at the 2011 world championships. Although he was dropped from the final, he won a silver medal because he competed in the heats.

By the time the London Olympics came around, Pistorius made the grade, and he could barely believe that he would become the first double amputee to compete on the track at the Olympics.

"I think I woke up the next morning with cramps in my cheeks. I was smiling in my sleep," Pistorius told the AP last year in an interview at his training base in northeastern Italy.

He ran the first heat of the 400 on Aug. 4 in 45.44 seconds ? his fastest time of the season ? putting him into the semifinals. A day later, he finished last in the semifinal heat, crossing the line in 46.54 and failing to move on, but loved it just the same.

"It just felt really magical," Pistorius said that day. "If I could predict what it would feel like or imagine beyond my wildest dreams, this was probably 10 times that.

"To step out in front of a crowd this massive, it's a mind-blowing experience," he added. "I've had support in the last couple of days like I have never felt before."

Pistorius later ran in the 4x400 relay, barely. The South African team was at first eliminated in the first round after a collision with the Kenyans. Pistorius was left standing on the track in disappointment because the baton never got to him.

But after an appeal, the Kenyans were disqualified and South Africa was given a reprieve, added to the final as a rare ninth team. Pistorius ran that time, anchoring his country's team, but the South Africans ended up eighth.

"This whole experience was amazing ... to step out here in an Olympic final is more than I could have ever hoped for," Pistorius said after that race. "That opportunity to come here once again and finish today and not yesterday is a dream come true."

Concert kicks off campaign to restore historic Black church

GUELPH ? The Guelph Black Heritage Society accomplished something special when it bought the historic BME Church on Essex Street. Now it has another challenge: raising half a million dollars to fix it up.

The society hopes to raise $500,000 to help pay the mortgage and fix up the 133-year-old building that has played a focal role in Guelph?s black community.

The society kicks off a fundraising campaign Friday with a free concert by local musician/composer Andrew Craig at the historic church, now called the Guelph Black Heritage Society Cultural and Spiritual Centre.

That will be followed by a free family open house Feb. 23, both events also helping celebrate Black History Month.

?You really never know in a fundraising campaign until you ask,? said Society president Marva Wisdom when asked about the chances of raising half a million dollars in today?s economic climate.

?If I didn?t think we?d be able to do it I would not have taken this on,? said Wisdom, who has numerous fundraising endeavours on her resum?, including past chair of the annual United Way campaign.

?I feel very optimistic about the interest that I have seen in this building, not only in Guelph locally, but elsewhere. For that reason, I think we will be able to do it,? she said.

The society finally completed the purchase of the building a few weeks ago. While the cost of the building wasn?t revealed, it was originally listed at $200,000.

Wisdom said there are numerous improvements needed to the building before it?s ready for use as a cultural and education centre, possible church services and rental for performances. Those improvements include washroom and storage, utilities, flooring and wheelchair access.

There really weren?t any surprises.

?We knew there were issues. We went into this with our eyes wide open and we knew we wanted to get the church no matter what the challenges are because it was important to continue the historical legacy of the church,? Wisdom said. ?We know we have a little ways to go.?

She said the fundraising campaign is ?all about planning and process? and she feels ?really good? about the people involved in the campaign.

So far new carpet and a quick paint job have made the building, which seats around 130, more attractive until the major work can be done.

In addition to Craig?s performance on Friday, Rev. Chester Searles, head of the BME Church of Canada, will speak about the church?s history.

The family day on Feb. 23 includes drumming, crafts and storytelling.

Obama asks Congress for short-term budget fix

WASHINGTON (AP) ? President Barack Obama is urging Congress to pass a smaller set of spending cuts and tax changes while they hash out a broader budget deal.

Lawmakers face a March 1 deadline when automatic, across-the-board spending cuts, already postponed once, take effect.

In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama says he still wants a comprehensive package that deals with the debt. But he says that takes time. He's asking lawmakers to move forward with a short-term deal as they continue working on a longer-term solution.

He says if the cuts aren't averted, the military, middle-class families and the economy could suffer.

In the Republican address, Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska says the U.S. must ramp up domestic energy production by streamlining regulations, investing in research and approving the Keystone XL pipeline.

Iran's leader wants closer ties with Egypt

CAIRO (AP) ? Iran's president says his country wants closer relations with Egypt.

After decades of distrust, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told a news conference Thursday on the sidelines of an Islamic summit that Iran wants "comprehensive" and "unfettered" ties with Egypt.

The first Iranian leader to visit Egypt in three decades, Ahmadinejad has used his three-stay stay to try and cement ties with the most populous Arab nation.

He played down a public admonishment by Egypt's most prominent cleric, who warned Iran against spreading its Shiite faith in the predominantly Sunni Muslim Middle East.

Asked whether Iran was prepared to share its nuclear technology with Egypt, Ahmadinejad dodged the question, saying only that his country would have no problem cooperating with Egypt in "technical, technological and scientific" fields.

Oldest known wild bird hatches chick

The oldest known wild bird in the United States has hatched a chick ? for the sixth year in a row.

The Laysan albatross named Wisdom, thought to be at least 62 years old, hatched a healthy-looking chick on Feb. 3, according to a statement from the U.S. Department of the Interior. Wisdom and her young chick inhabit Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), which is famous for its Laysan albatross population.

"Everyone continues to be inspired by Wisdom as a symbol of hope for her species," said Doug Staller, the Fish and Wildlife Service superintendent for the Papah?naumoku?kea Marine National Monument, which encompasses Midway Atoll NWR.

  1. Science news from NBCNews.com

    1. New tech said to clean up the water used in?fracking

A new water desalination technology may prove a savior for the oil and natural gas industries confronting growing concerns about the wastewater that flows to the surface in the months and years after a well is fracked.

    2. How moles smell the world in stereo
    3. Slippers of Napoleon's sister found
    4. King Richard III spoke with a lilt, study suggests

Wisdom was first banded in 1956 while incubating an egg; bands are attached to the legs of birds to help scientists track and study them. At the time, she was estimated to be at least 5 years old. This is the youngest these birds breed, though they more typically mate at age 8 or 9 after an involved courtship lasting several years. So she may be even older than 62, and is still breeding, according to the release.

"As Wisdom rewrites the record books, she provides new insights into the remarkable biology of seabirds," said Bruce Peterjohn, head of the bird banding program at the U.S. Geological Survey, in the statement. "If she were human, she would be eligible for Medicare in a couple years yet she is still regularly raising young and annually circumnavigating the Pacific Ocean. Simply incredible."

The bird has likely hatched 30 to 35 chicks in her long life, although that number might be higher, Peterjohn said in the release. Laysan albatross have a wingspan of 6 feet and fly about 50,000 miles a year as adults. This means Wisdom has flown at least 2 million to 3 million miles since being banded, according to the statement. That's the same distance as up to six trips from the Earth to the moon and back.

All but two of the 21 species of albatross are threatened with extinction, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Wisdom has seen a lot in her day, and always survived to continue propagating her species. In 2011, she survived the 5-foot (1.5 meters) tsunami the hit Midway after Japan's 9.0-magnitude earthquake. The tsunami killed an estimated 2,000 adult albatrosses and about 110,000 chicks in the wildlife refuge. Midway lies close to the northwestern end of the Hawaiian Islands, about one-third of the way between Honolulu and Tokyo. The atoll is an unincorporated U.S. territory.

Dyson continues its streak of unlikely innovation in the world of hand-dryers with the Airblade Tap, which allows you to wash your hands and dry them without leaving the sink.

It may seem strange at first to focus so much engineering prowess on the question of how to best dry people's hands, but it's not a trivial problem: Paper towels are effective but wasteful, and other air dryers can be unhygienic, and power hogs to boot.

Dyson's latest device aims to solve all those problems ? as well as that of having to carry your drippy hands over to the dryer, leaving the floor wet and slippery (and a haven for germs).

It's called the Airblade Tap, and it's essentially the well-known air-jet hand dryer built right into a faucet. You put your hands under the tap and it turns on automatically, then when you're ready to dry, you simply put your hands under the tubes that project outward, and the air starts blasting out.

The excess water is fired into the sink, which is much better than having it fly all over the floor or collecting it inside the dryer. And there's no need to touch anything throughout the whole process. With an estimated yearly running cost of $48, it should pay for itself in savings over paper towels in a few years.

Dyson also added a compact new wall unit to its line of hand dryers, and updated the existing Airblade with the motor they developed for the Tap. Expect these fancy new sinks to start popping up in hotels, airports, and other public places later this year ? there's no US pricing yet, but the Tap will sell in the UK for ?999, or around $1500.

Two students get fingers torn off during tug-of-war

Two California high school students lost fingers on Monday during a school-sponsored game of tug-of-war, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

The game was apparently part of South El Monte High School?s Spirit Week festivities, and took place during lunchtime. Two unlucky students ? one boy and one girl ? had their fingers torn off, according to the Los Angeles County fire department, which arrived on scene at 12:20 PM.

Officials did not clarify exactly how many fingers were lost or who won the bout.

?Fingers (were) amputated during some type of tug-of-war,? said Fire Captain Miguel Garcia in a statement. ?They were transported by ambulance to a trauma center.?

Neither the fire department nor the school has explained how the injuries were sustained or how many other students were involved. No one else was injured, however.

?At this point we?re trying to find out more information,? said School District Assistant Superintendent Edward Zuniga in a statement.

In light of the incident, the school district will review its policy on tug-of-war games, he said.

'Star Trek Into Darkness' Trailer: J.J. Abrams' New Film Boldly Goes During Super Bowl XLVII (VIDEO)

Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer

"Star Trek Into Darkness" trailer debuted during Super Bowl XLVII.

Just because J.J. Abrams has been named the director of "Star Wars: Episode VII" doesn't mean his "Star Trek" sequel has to hide in the corner. During Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday night, Paramount debuted a new "Star Trek Into Darkness" trailer.

Directed by Abrams, "Star Trek Into Darkness" returns the principal cast of "Star Trek" -- Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban and Zoe Saldana -- while adding Alice Eve and Benedict Cumberbatch to the proceedings. Cumberbatch is playing the "Star Trek Into Darkness" villain, who may be Khan or Robert April or Gary Mitchell or John Harrison. "Shall we begin?" Cumberbatch tells Pine's Captain Kirk during the trailer's crescendo.

In addition to the "Star Trek Into Darkness" Super Bowl trailer, Paramount also unveiled a supplemental "reality app" that allows super fans to glean even more information about Abrams' sequel; head over to AdAge for the skinny on that.

"Star Trek Into Darkness" is out on May 17. Watch the trailer above and head over to Apple to check it out in HD.
